Description

The sleek yet robust Palissade stool is a member of Hay’s versatile outdoor furniture collection. Palissade outdoor furniture features a strong, graphic design that consists of simple steel tubes and slats. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec worked with the collection for two years and created a range of simple, balanced pieces that are well suited for terraces, balconies, gardens, cafés and public spaces. The Palissade chairs, tables and benches are sturdy but elegant, and perfect for outdoor use, since wind and water will pass through the galvanized steel frame. The Palissade furniture was designed to age well and its muted colour palette adds to the timeless and versatile appearance. 

Material: Electro-galvanized steel, outdoor powder coating. Colours: Anthracite, Olive, Cream White and Sky Grey and Iron Red. Weight 7kg.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, born 1971 and 1976, respectively, in Quimper, France, studied at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Cergy-Pontoise. Ronan began independent design work immediately after completing his studies, while his brother, who was still in school, assisted him. Since 1999 both brothers have worked together as joint partners in their own design firm. Their work ranges from small utilitarian objects to architectural projects. In addition to the design of domestic and office furniture, vases, jewellery and diverse home accessories, a primary focus of their work is the design and organisation of interior space.
