The Crate dining table is part of HAY’s collection of wooden outdoor furniture. The first Crate table was designed by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Thomas Rietveld in 1934. At that time, the Crate furniture was made from leftover wooden shipping crates – hence the name of the collection. Today, Rietveld Originals and HAY use lacquered pine as the material. Finished with a weatherproof coating, the long Crate dining table is ideal for all kinds of outdoor spaces from the terrace to the garden and balcony.
