Price also includes wood frame packaging. Size: H108, D83, W105cm, 23kg.The Finnish designer Eero Aarnio, born in 1932, studied from 1954 to 1957 at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki. He was – and still is – one of the pioneers in using plastic in furniture design. In 1963 he designed the first Ball Chair and earned international reputation.Then in 1968 he designed the bubble hanging chair. Until today Aarnio loves to work with fibreglass.

Eero Aarnio (b. 1932) is a Finnish designer and professor h.c. and is considered one of the great innovators of modern furniture design. During the years, Aarnio has experimented with a variety of different materials, including plastic, fibreglass and foam plastic. With these materials he has created some of the icons of Finnish design such as the Ball Chair (1962), Bubble Chair (1968) and Pastil Chair (1968), just to name a few.
