About A Chair AAC20 by HAY combines an aluminium swivel base with a streamlined polypropylene shell. A result of close collaboration between designer Hee Welling and HAY, About A Chair is a collection of outstanding simplicity and combinability. About A Chair collection, Hee Welling wanted to reach a new level in the combination of shape, function, comfort, detail, and esthetics. The idea behind the collection was to develop a chair which works well around the dining table, around a conference table, as well as in a restaurant, cafeteria or at the office. Due to their simple and plain design, the chairs can be combined with many types of furniture and interiors.

Hee Welling is a Danish designer who graduated as a designer from the Danish Design School in Copenhagen in 2003, specialising in product and furniture design. Hee Welling’s designs are deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition, which is evident in his simple, functional and refined designs. Form and function are the two important guidelines in his works.
